Deburring Cross-Holes –
via the Cross or Main Bore
Deburring cross-holes (also called "intersecting holes") is a real challenge. Depending on the diameter ratio of the two intersecting bores, burr formation can be minimal or highly uneven. This is especially true when the axes of both bores do not intersect at a right angle! Here, clever tools with special geometries are required to deliver clean results and eliminate frequent rework. This includes systems that deburr all internal cross-holes sequentially while passing through the main bore. The most efficient approach is deburring directly on the machine. This ensures reproducible results with lower process costs.
