FlipCut:
Chamfering Tool and Face Countersink
For back-spotfacing and back- or front-chamfering operations - from one side, in one set-up
YOUR BENEFITS
Precise chamfering and spot facing with one tool in a single setup
The special cutting geometry ensures forced retraction of the cutting edge
Use of carbide-tipped cutting edges guarantees high tool life and economical machining
Internal coolant supply ensures chip evacuation and guarantees optimal engagement and retraction of the carbide cutting edge
Standard tools available from Ø 7.0 mm to Ø 34.0 mm
Standard cutting edges available for back spot facing and front chamfering, as well as for both back and front chamfering
Recommended for robotic applications

The FLIPCUT consists of only five individual parts, enabling easy handling. The cutting edges are equipped with carbide, preventing thermal expansion and ensuring the blades always fold reliably. In case of wear, the cutting edge can be quickly and easily replaced.
|
1. FRONT SIDE CHAMFERING With the spindle rotating clockwise, the cutter is extended and can create the front chamfer. |
|
2. THROUGH HOLE
Switch spindle rotation to counterclockwise and plunge into the bore at maximum feed rate (approx. 0.20mm/rev) (this facilitates the cutter retraction and prevents tool breakage). |
|
3. BACK SIDE CHAMFERING With clockwise rotation, the back countersink is created. The depth of the countersink can be individually adjusted. |
|
4. RETRACT TO START POSITION Switch spindle rotation to counterclockwise and retract from the bore at maximum feed rate (approx. 0.20mm/rev). You can rapidly move out of the bore to the start position. |
