PCD Thread Mills for Plastic Machining
Our field service representative Max Staab was once again able to assist a manufacturer of medical components in achieving completely burr-free production of special plastic components. The threaded features previously always exhibited burr formation, requiring manual rework of the parts. With the PKD thread milling cutter for BSP threads (G1/4) supplied by us, this issue was completely eliminated. Since then, the component can be produced absolutely burr-free straight out of the machine. Additionally, the PKD cutter enables an increase in tool life of up to 20 times compared to a carbide thread mill.
