Nearly 50% Reduction in Machining Time with the Back-Burr Cutter & Path Deburring System
Once again, we were able to convince a customer with the innovative Back-Burr Cutter & Path deburring system and deliver a more than satisfactory tooling solution for a medical component made of 1.4404 stainless steel with 8 radial bores. Instead of 8 machining operations that would have been necessary with a conventional reverse deburring tool, only 4 positioning steps were required when using the deburring system.
Thanks to the NC data set we provided, the machining could be programmed so that the special ball cutter could pass through the bores and thus also deburr the counter contours. This allowed the machining time to be reduced by half, the quality increased through clean and defined chamfers, and ultimately the customer was satisfied. What more could you want!
