Deburring Tools from Kempf:
#burrfree straight out of the machine!

Undesired burrs occur in almost all metal cutting processes. Deburring directly on the machine instead of manually afterward gives you significant competitive advantages. You produce your components #burrfree with consistently high quality, reduce process costs, save throughput time, and conserve resources. KEMPF offers the largest range of deburring tools on the market for virtually every application. And if no suitable standard tool is available? We also develop custom tools for you—cost-effective and fast!

Why Machine Deburring Is So Cost-Effective

Deburring is usually not considered a core competency of a component manufacturer. Deburring is often seen as a necessary evil—but this view is incorrect! Especially today, process-reliable technologies can be used economically that are perfectly tailored to quality requirements! By integrating deburring into the CNC machining process, you not only save time but also free up resources that were previously tied up.

The use of machine deburring tools almost always results in lower unit costs in series production AND fewer quality defects or customer complaints. The demands for high-precision components are continuously increasing. The requirements for product quality and functionality are becoming more demanding, while component geometries and material combinations are becoming increasingly complex.

That means: Your competitive advantage today lies in producing components with consistently high quality
#burrfree and cost-effectively.

Machine Deburring: 1 of 1,001 Possibilities

The high-volume production component of a drive housing (approximately 200,000 pieces per year) was to be completely machine deburred. The complex internal contour could only be reliably machined with the Back-Burr Cutter & Path deburring system, as the ball end mill follows the contour parallel path through a custom NC program, effectively deburring the part.

Actuator-Housing-2

Component: Actuator housing made of magnesium
Tool: Back-Burr Cutter & Path deburring system and ceramic fiber brush.

The ceramic fiber surface brush performed the deburring on the backside of the component. The 40 mm diameter brush traces the entire component edge in a few seconds and deburrs it completely.
