PCD & CVD Indexable Inserts
PCD and CVD tools possess hardness comparable to that of a monocrystalline diamond. PCD indexable inserts are two to three times harder and one hundred times more wear-resistant than carbide. Ultra-hard CVD inserts exceed these values even further. PCD and CVD diamond inserts enable high machining rates and consistently excellent surface finishes in drilling, milling, and turning. They guarantee maximum wear resistance with extremely sharp cutting edges. Their highly thermal conductive properties also dissipate potentially damaging heat from the workpiece. Especially in the series production of non-ferrous metal and plastic components, these cutting materials significantly increase productivity.
